“I have a dream!” This was the special meeting scheduled to present the Jersey Village City Hall Village Center Project to the residents. Presentation comments were made by the current mayor and two prior mayors, along with people involved with the developer of the proposed project. As a side note, the efforts by the city council and mayors continued for several years; however, the project changed to a proposed baseball park when the Village Center Developer had no money and no other developer would even discuss it with Jersey Village.
The videos were not made by Jersey Village, and the information provided was not readily available to those residents not in attendance; however, the city government provided the information they wanted shared as often as they chose. After research was completed regarding the projects discussed by the presenters, very little of what they presented could be verified, and most appeared to be less than truthful. That information provided to the city government had no impact on their plans.
